evil-mart

Corporate greed at its worst was recently displayed through the action of Wal-Mart and its heartless execs whose voracious appetite for money never seems to be satiated even if they are rich to a point of literally crapping Benjamins. After hearing their successful effort to squeeze everything to the last penny from a woman who has been physically and mentally debilitated through an accident, my stomach was literally knotted with disgust and outrage at the thought of how these wretched souls of the earth who have no moral or humanity whatsoever can sleep at night vividly realizing of cleanly wiping the funds of a poor woman who has lost her child in Iraq. What’s more disturbing is the fact that the brain injury this woman is suffering from due to the accident has caused a lapse in her memory that she doesn’t recall information told to her more than hour or so ago. So every time she asks about her son in Iraq and people tell her that he has died, It comes as a fresh tragic news for her. Yet these money poachers sitting on a multi billion dollar profit decided to wring every penny from the $400,000 settlement this woman received due to the accident. To add insult to injury, they claimed that their action is justifiable through an inconspicuous clause they make their employees sign which allows Wal-Mart to obtain all the money their employees receive from settlements due to accidents. Let me digress from this political clutter I have inadvertently tangled myself up with and take a few moment to rant and rave about the latest crap from our good friends in Seattle. The “new” and “improved” Windows Vista. The next generation of operating systems or the new vessel that will take us back into the tempstous sea slew with patches, fixes and major service packs that were the hallmarks of the XP era. Just when XP was getting secure and comparatively stable, Captain Bill has decided to abandon the ship and jump on to a new boat, or life boat if you will to face the storms of new cutting edge viruses, worms and trojans. As far as security is concerned, maybe its as secure as XP. I will give it the benefit of the doubt. For now. Also a little bit of credit where credit is due eventhough its a knockoff from Macs GUI. However, aegis from malwares while providing an exquisite mac like graphics does come with its cost. Not at the cashier but at the banking center close to the heart of the processor called RAM.
